From Monday 31 March 2014, Croatian Museum of Tourism in Opatija will be open to visitors by the new working hours:
every day of the week from 10 to 20 h.

New working time applies to all three exhibition space of the Museum: Villa Angiolina, Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" and Swiss house.

On Friday, the 14th March 2014 Croatian Association for Public Relations has awarded the Grand Prix in 2014 for best achievement in public relations. Laureate of seventh consecutive award is Opatija Festival!

Final Fight Championship is scheduled for the 1st March 2014 in the sports hall in Opatija. The final major battles will be presented on the the telecast to present all the finalists of the tournament in eight of ten categories, prestige matches will do some of the most famous FFC's name. In the evening program, viewers will have the opportunity to see as many as 12 excellent professional matches, and on the last two will participate Eddie Sanchez Vs. Stipe Bekavac and Ivan Stanic Vs. Patrick Van Rees.

The fights will be held throughout the day, from early morning. At 9 am moving quarterfinals, and 2:00 pm semifinals

In the Hotel Continental, Opatija is open an unique catering complex named Gastro world, mostly in premises of previous Grand café and clothing store. On the ground floor is a sweet corner with a selection of homemade desserts, coffee and tea, juices and champagne bar, shop ham and cheese, beer and traditional tavern, in the basement is the exclusive Milenij Choco world - a small museum of chocolate.

The first hostel on the Opatija Riviera HOSTEL LINK - former Hotel Meridional - investors the Milenij Hotels will be opened by the end of February 2013.
The newly renovated hostel will have 111 modern and well furnished double and triple rooms with bathroom.

A ceremony on the 14th January 2014 marked the 120 years of emergency medical services in Croatia.

The first emergency medical service was established in Opatija 14th January 1894, and the initiator was Baron von Jaromir Mundy, 13 years after it was founded in Vienna as the first such service in the world.

In the sports hall Marino Cvetkovic, Opatija, on 17th December was organized a reception for the athletes who 2013th have achieved the top results.

Opatija introduces free parking on weekends for all visitors to public parking lots.

The new regime of free parking in public parking lots (excluding garages) during the weekends will last from 1 December 2013 until the end of February 2014

On Friday, the 29th of November at 18:00, in the sports hall Marino Cvetkovic will be a celebration ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the Gymnasium in Opatija.

In Vienna's Karlsplatz Museum (Wien Museum Karlsplatz) of 14 November 2013 do March 30, 2014 will be an exhibition of the Austrian Riviera during the Austro Hungarian Empire, in which special attention is paid to the Opatija Riviera.
