Opatja: 120 years of emergency medical services in Croatia

A ceremony on the 14th January 2014 marked the 120 years of emergency medical services in Croatia.

The first emergency medical service was established in Opatija 14th January 1894, and the initiator was Baron von Jaromir Mundy, 13 years after it was founded in Vienna as the first such service in the world.
