The film follows a German photographer (played by Campino, singer of German punk band Die Toten Hosen) who comes to Palermo because he needs to make a clean break from his past. In the city, he meets a young woman (Mezzogiorno) and a completely different way of life.

Traditional "Balinjerada", 26th in the row, downhill race of vehicles with ball bearing, "balinjere". Masked participants compete in several categories - "monopatini" vehicles on two wheels, like the scooter, then "Karic", vehicles with three wheels on the wooden surfaces on which sits the driver, and "american vozići", imaginatively designed allegoric cars.
