In Opatija, on December 1st has started the second DEZEMBERFEST, the popular version of the Munich Oktoberfest. DEZEMBERFEST festival of local food and customs has been organized by Milenij hotel, and DEZEMBERFEST tent will be located in the center of Opatija, on the terrace of the Grand Hotel 4 Opatijska cvijeta. Live music will play from Wednesday to Saturday. The novelties are: 5 different bands; Winter beers Offer and Staročeško beer by Daruvarska brewery; Meter free of brandy for groups of 10 people; Meter of beer at popular prices with free pretzels; 11.12. Smirnoff & Red Bull party with popular price and sweepstakes; 18.12. Jaeger party with popular price and sweepestakes.

The exhibition created through collaboration Učka Nature Park and the colony of Austrian painters who call themselves painters of protected areas or the so-called painters of "Environmental movement" whose artistic activities they want to contribute to the promotion and protection of natural beauty. In addition to works created in the Nature Park Učka, the exhibition will present works produced in the largest of the Central European National Park - Austria's Hohe Tauern National Park.

The exhibition is open daily, except Mondays, 10:00 to 18:00.
Until 08.12.2010. at the cafe of hotel "Imperial" in Opatija is opened the exhibition titled Opatija tram. The twelve panels using photographic records show the route and technological characteristics of tramway. The authors are Nenad Labus and Vuk Perisic.

Planet Art for its new project is chosen once off-Broadway hit. The text is written by American playwright and screenwriter Michael Cristofer, awarded with The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for the play The Shadow Box 1977.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the discovery od "Moho" - Mohorovicic discontinuity. It is one of the greatest achievements in the field of seismology of all time, and it is credited to Andrija Mohorovicic, seismologist and an outstanding scientist, born in Volosko. You are invited to lecture on "Seismology in Croatia one hundred years after the discovery of Mohorovicic discontinuity" by prof. PhD. Marijan Herak and prof. PhD. Davorka Herak - the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. The lecture will be held on 26th November at Villa Antonio (Nazorova 2) at 11 AM.
