Traditionally in Opatija for Christmas Eve has been organized "Living Nativity" in front of the café of Imperial Hotel with fritters and mulled wine before midnight Mass.

Christmas Musical - The Importance of Being Earnest

The first Christmas musical The Importance Of Being Earnest. Cast: Nika Grgurić, Nicholas Balaban, Dezso David, Maria Trinajstić and members of the choir and drama workshops GEK Opatija. Admission is free, and after the show we invite you to the after party in the "Colosseum". Tickets for the after party you will receive at the end of the play when leaving the hall.

Divers of Volunteer fire dept. Opatija will decorate Christmas tree under the sea on the Opatija pier. You can enjoy the action & glow from 5 pm on.

1st Istrian Provincial Exhibition - 100 years

The 1st Istrian Provincial Exhibition, organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism can be seen at Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" in Opatija, from Wednesday, 22nd of December. Although no particular artistic, historical photographs have enormous documentary value, illustrating the cultural, economic and social life of Istria, the century ago.
