9th Festival of Science

The main theme of 9th Rijeka Festival of Science is"The Light". In the past 8 years RFS had more than 50 000 visitors. This year RFS offers 90 events, performed by 90 performers.

11th ASPARAGUS FESTIVAL

The festival is held every year in the month of April. During the Asparagus Festival, many restaurants and taverns will offer meals featuring wild asparagus.
Asparagus Feast - Large Omlette with 1000 eggs and 30 kg of wild asparagus, accordion players and music programme.

Malvasia - This famous wine since the time of the Dubrovnik Republic

Organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism, on Friday, the 8th of April 2011., at 20:00 at villa Angiolina, Opatija will be presented the book written by Ivo Orešković - "Malvasia - This famous wine since the time of the Dubrovnik Republic". The book will review PhD. Ivan Sokolić, Ph.D. Vresna Mijovic and the author Ivo Oreskovic. It is anticipated and tasting prosecco Malvasija Dubrovnik Karaman, vintage 2007th, which carries the title of world champion in 2009. of "The World of Malvasia - Vinistra 2009.
About wine will speak famous sommelier Daniela Kramarić.

The first national conference on the strategy of evaluating the quality of honey

The conference was thematically related to the perception and evaluation of the qualitative features of the most important bee products - honey in the Republic of Croatia and the European Union, with which the Republic of Croatia borders. In order to achieve a multidisciplinary approach to the subject issue, invited are a dozen prominent experts to evaluate the quality of honey, representatives of the academic community in the Croatia, Italy and Slovenia.
