Until 9 October 2011 lasts action "Croatian Restaurant Week" in which guests will be offered meals at promotional prices. They include the Mandrac from Volosko, Villa Astra - Lovran and Grand Hotel Bonavia Kamov - Rijeka.

The first international Zumba Party Opatija

The first party of this kind will take place on 25th September 2011 in Zumbafitness Opatija organization. The instructors from around the world and top dancers. All revenues from the tickets that will be 20kn and raffles, and of all sponsors will go to children's hospital Kantrida.

Quarneroli at Miramar

Austrian Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia, mr. Jan Kickert, will this Saturday at 10: 30 in the lobby of the Hotel Miramar, open the exhibition "Quarneroli", in honor of Jacob Sučić, Fran Letiš, and Vicko Palmić, brave sailors from Opatija, Lovran and Volosko.

The exhibition designed by prof. Hans W. Bousska from Vienna, is a reminder of Opatija's history and many famous people who visited Opatija. This once quiet fishing village, thanks to its favorable geographical location, benefits of stable climate, and especially the efforts of a few enthusiasts, turned in the second half of the 19th century, in a favorite destination of high society, members of European royal houses and government dignitaries, and famous intellectuals and artists.

FERA General Assembly 2011

Croatia, Opatija and the Croatian Film Directors this year have the honor of hosting the Association of European Film Directors (FERA), where film directors from 25 European countries on a three-day meeting will discuss activities of the Association
