The Acoustic Project ensemble was founded by two members of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orhestra: flutist Renata Penezić, and double bass player Dubravko Palanović. Incentive to found the ensemble came from their interest in unusual sound combinations, and exploration of new possibilities in sound by combining seemingly incongruous instruments. The ensemble promotes the composers of the 20th and 21st centuries, and aims to encourage and inspire Croatian composers to experiment with the sound. Each concert is a new beginning, a new idea, a new experiment - a new acoustic project.

Original project of director and playwright Anica Tomic and Jelena Kovacevic occurs as a theater study almost two sister disease, anorexia and bulimia, two extremely severe and frequent eating disorders, problems affecting an increasing number of young people.

On Wednesday, 13th of October Art Gallery Opatijski portun is a concert of pianist Maria Iveković. Tickets can be purchased at the Gallery at a cost of 50 kn.
The eighteenth consecutive year in Croatia, third time in Opatija, will be held the annual
Conference of Croatian psychologists, which is organized in two Opatija's hotels. The ceremony - opening and dinner - in the Crystal Hall of Hotel Kvarner, while the majority of the professional component of the program will take place in the Hotel Ambassador.
Cross-cultural psychology is the main issue of the professional program, although a wide range of topics from different areas of psychology will be debated.
5th Congress of the Croatian Society of Radiology will take place in Opatija. Radiology is passing through substantial changes in technological, professional, and scienti? c sense that rede? ne its role in the clinical medicine. Croatian Society of Radiology has maintained continuity of professional meetings from the very beginning, responding to educational and professional challenges in all ?elds of radiology. This meeting is an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience, as well as to create new friendships and resume old ones.
