Marunada, traditional gastronomic event offers made of famous Lovran sweet chestnuts - maruni. Besides attractive gastronomic offer, the visitors are attracted by entertainment program ( Lovran Wind Orchestra music, folk and music ensembles from Istria and Kvarner, animators, prize competition, exhibitions...). The event is accompanied by chestnut (marun) pastry in restaurants and cafés of Lovran and Opatija.
Organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism on Thursday, 28 October 2010. in Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" in Opatija, starting at 19.30 pm will open an exhibition by Tomo Gerić "Bathers".
Showing a naked human body reflects the aesthetic and spiritual panorama of the living environment, and in some periods of formally favored and crowned Gloria, while in others it is suppressed or denied, with negative overtones. Painting and design of the act is always a challenge, intrigue, and the artist's own demonstration of skills. The exhibition will be open until 17th of November 2010.
