For the third consecutive year in Jurčići is organized summer carnival. Cheerful carnival group gather at 17:00 in front of Dom Jurčići, whence starts the visitation from house to house, collecting eggs, playing, singing and partying until the early morning hours.

Dino Merlin, singer from Sarajevo will be the guest of Opatija at his concert on 09th July 2011 at 21.30 at Summer stage. Merlin represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Germany. He came sixth in the finals, singing Love in Rewind. Organization: Thorax Promotion.
