Book Friends Days
Rijeka - Opatija (04 - 05.11. 2011.)
Organized by the Croatian Museum of Tourism Opatija, from 3rd November 2011. in Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer" you can see the exhibition by Matko Mijić "Table - while we waited."
Matko Mijić was born in Split 1955. He graduated at the School of Applied Arts in Split and 1981 at The Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade- the sculpture. He is a professor at the Art Academy in Split. The exhibition is open until 23 November 2011.
Musical creativity Panel of Croatian Composers' Society held in Golden Hall at Hotel Imperial Opatija from 1st to 4th November 2011.

The largest number of producers of traditionally made brandy are in northern and central Istria. You can taste their masterpieces at the brandy exhibit that is organized every year in Hum - the smallest town in the world. Such brandy is most often made from grape marc into which aromatic and medicinal herbs or different fruit are added. The most popular types of grape-brandy are rue and mistletoe brandy, but there are numerous other sorts as well: with honey, St. John's wort, sour cherries, mint, walnuts…
