We are happy to inform you and invite to the presentation of the cake "Opatijan Camellia", which will be organized on the occasion of "Day of Opatija" . The presentation will be held on Monday, 25.07.2011. at noon in the Art pavilion "Juraj Sporer".

Days of Baranja and Danube will be held in front of Opatija market 6 - 09.07.2011. from 9.00 to 21.00 h. The music support of event are three tambura players which will play in the evening, and a piper will play and stroll through the city during the day.
Saturday, 9th of July is day reserved for presentation of regional specialties - Fish Stew (Fish paprikash) and cobanac.

During the day, one will be able to purchase freshly picked Lovran cherries, taste cherry cakes and treats, or buy original Lovran souvenirs. While in the evening, the Festival ends with the slicing of a giant Lovran strudel (a 10 m long strudel) and performance by folklore ensemble.

11th Cherry Days in Lovran will be held from 11th to 19th of June 2011. The main festivities are organized on Saturday, 11th of June 2011 starting at 18:00. The cutting of a large 10 meter strudel will be at 20:30. Participants: Quartet "Istria" (polka and waltz), and the folklore ensemble KUD "Zvir" from Jelenje who will perform at 21:00. The cherry cakes and freshly picked cherries will be offered as well as souvenirs and other local products. During the Days of Cherries, Lovran restaurants will offer cakes and desserts of Lovran cherries.

Traditional fishing nights called "Pilchard" offer authentic coastal cuisine with the singing and a typical indigenous music and the promotion of olive oil, souvenirs, honey and wine of the region. The menu is based on a large bowl with mussels, blue fish, squidoos and pilchards. Prices are from 20 kn.

The enchanting scent of coffee will spread all over Opatija from 16th to 17th of April 2011.
Festival program: Art of espresso making and cocktails based on coffee, desserts designed based on coffee, talk on the subject: Trails of coffee - from beans to cup, tastings, offer of sweets in the shape of coffee beans, the exhibition: "Celebrities about coffee" and promotional sales of different coffee products.
