The chestnuts festivities begin by the middle of October in Lovran (October 12th - October 28th) and in the weekends that follow they are held in the villages overlooking Lovran (12-14.10.), Liganj (20-21.10.) and Dobreć (27-28.10.). Baked chestnuts are offered, mead (home-made brandy based on honey) and new wine. In cafes and pastry shops cakes, pastry and sweets are prepared, while in taverns and restaurants original home-made dishes and chestnut dishes can be tasted. The main celebration in Lovran in the square (Brajdice) consists of all-day folklore programs, wind orchestra and popular music performances.

Cherry Feast - During the 9th of June, you can buy freshly picked Lovran cherries, taste cherry cakes and treats, or original Lovran souvenirs. While in the evening, the Festival ends with the slicing of a giant Lovran strudel (a 20 m long strudel) and performances by various folklore ensembles.
